JIM TIMS

Chairman of the Board

Jim joined LT Corporation in 1973 and rose to the positions of President and Chairman of the Boards of LT Corporation and Quality Steel Corporation in 1975.  He followed his father, Lowry Tims, as the second generation to lead the interests of the family business.  After 43 years of overseeing the management of LT Corporation and its family subsidiaries, Jim retired from his corporate executive positions at the end of 2018 and retains his position as Board Chairman.

Prior to entering the practice of law and the family business, Jim attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance and a Juris Doctorate in Law.  He is licensed to practice law in both Texas and Mississippi.   He practiced law in Cleveland, MS for three years before becoming active in the family business, just prior to the death of his father.

SEAN WESSEL

Business And team Leadership

Sean joined LT Corporation in 2015 as Chief Financial Officer and currently serves as the President of LT Corporation, as well as President and CEO of Quality Steel Corporation.  Sean represents the third generation of family leadership and works diligently every day to continue the legacy and culture previously established and cultivated by the Tims’ family.

Prior to joining LT Corporation, Sean served in various finance leadership roles with several regional and community banking organizations in the Southeast and Northwest.  Sean also spent more than 10 years serving as an auditor with the public accounting firms of Ernst & Young and Arthur Andersen.   Sean is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Global Management Consultant (CGMA), with licenses in Mississippi and Alabama, and has both a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from the University of Alabama.

DEAN FRANCIS

Dean has worked with LT Corporation since 2016, initially as an external consultant and joined the company in the role of Vice President – Strategy and Corporate Development in 2020. He is focused on working with the Executive Team and Operating Company Management to develop, deploy and sustain the growth strategy for LT Corporation. Dean also facilitates the efforts of the LTC Investment Committee and manages the acquisition pipeline process.

In addition to his strategy consulting background, Dean brings prior experience in executive leadership at mid-market industrial companies and a broad foundation developed in marketing, supply chain and technology leadership positions at GE and Johnson & Johnson. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration (MBA), both from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

WILLIAM MONAGHAN

Bill joined LT Corporation in 2017 as Corporate Controller and currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer of the company. As CFO, Bill leads the finance, accounting and information technology functions for the company and serves as a member of the Leadership Team. Previously he was Finance Director for American Welding & Tank, a company which was later acquired by Quality Steel in 2013.

Prior to joining LT Corporation, Bill held leadership roles in several diverse manufacturing organizations including automotive (Tenneco), consumer (Libbey), and industrial (Owens Corning) products as well as both public and privately held organizations. Bill is a graduate of the University of Toledo with a bachelor’s degree in accounting; he also holds an inactive CPA license in the State of Ohio.

Nicole Schwieterman

NICOLE SCHWIETERMAN

Nicole joined LT Corporation in 2021 as Corporate Counsel. In this role, Nicole is a member of the Leadership Team and leads the development and execution of the organization's legal, compliance and human resources strategies.

Previously, Nicole served as corporate counsel for Cooper Tire & Rubber Company where she managed a nationwide team of outside counsel and in-house technical consultants in connection with product liability, commercial and asbestos related litigation and claims. She also spent significant time negotiating commercial contracts, providing advice on risk management, and managing special projects aimed at assisting the company in meeting its strategic initiatives. Nicole received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University, and her law degree from the University of Toledo College of Law. She is admitted to practice in both Ohio and Michigan.

OUR HISTORY

1957: Quality Steel Corporation was founded by Lowry Tims
  • Tims, a former Liquid Petroleum Gas Inspector, owned LT Gas Company and was frustrated with the poor quality of the tanks he could purchase to provide his customers, so he decided to build his own.  Lowry established Quality Steel Corporation in Cleveland, Mississippi.
1982: In honor of his father, Jim Tims charters LT Corporation.
2004: LT Corp established its Employee Stock Ownership Plan.
2013: American Welding & Tank was acquired and merged into Quality Steel Corporation.
  • Two additional manufacturing locations were added in Ohio and Utah propelling Quality Steel Corporation to industry leadership in propane tanks.
2019: LT Corporation acquired LP Cylinder Service.
  • LT Corporation extended its offerings to cover the full life cycle of propane vessels and tanks by adding the quality leadership in tank refurbishing to the market reach of Quality Steel.  LP Cylinder’s two facilities and founding family members joined the LT Corporation Family of Companies.
2020: Buckeye Fabricating was acquired by lt corporation.
  • The addition of Buckeye and their talented team brings additional markets, capabilities for engineering, and custom pressure vessel fabricating to LT Corporation.
2022: KRYTON ENGINEERED MATERIALS JOINS LT CORPORATION FAMILY OF COMPANIES
  • Kryton brings short run component production of steel and aluminum components to LT Corporation’s portfolio with a focus on laser cutting, forming and fabrication.
2023: LT CORP LOGISTICS CHARTERED
  • The transportation assets of Quality Steel are spun off to create a new wholly owned subsidiary of LT Corporation, creating a center of excellence intended to support entire family of companies’ transportation needs.
2023: TATE METALWORKS, INC. AQUIRED BY LT CORPORATION
  • The addition of Tate enhances LT Corporation’s custom tank fabrication focus by adding core competencies in large format fabrication of pressure vessels and field erected tanks.
